6+3 Thoughts from Reading While Posting - What You Can Learn From Silicon Valley
1) Maverick, non-corporate DNA - means casual working way, it's not about busyness, suits & uniforms.
2) Facebook with 400 million users, would be the 3rd largest country after China, India if it was a country.
3) Their office looks and feels like a living room. There's ample lighting, sofas & cosy decor.
4) They move fast, break things... cobble things together and see what comes up; sort of suntzu way, hmmm.
5) At Google, staff who meets all his targets is seem to have taken the easy way out. - they set easy achievable targets
6) Google did not turn up in Beijing in surfer shorts - Being Business oriented & Tech savy.
7) They don't only look at the CV, but also sense of humour (Googleyness). Same as Twitter.
7) Twitter created a company structure that supports creativity.
8) All recognise there are smarter people outside the company than within.
9) All understood that the only deal worth doing is a win-win deal.
Think that's about it, will check to see if I left out something (Rev1).
