20100709: Silvering Days

Overheard on a bus, conversation between 2 silver hair people. From their attire, they are still contributing to the workforce. On the queue same as me, 2 buses came, they boarded the crowded one and was commenting about no place to sit, & how should have taken the other one. Old people tends to speak carefreely in company of their own like a coffee shop. One way to look at it, maybe he was thinking of the comfort for his buddy. As they continue to talk, some young girls sitting nearest offered them seats, but they declined. This hold true for the theory of refused to be "Reserved Seat"-ed. So they were continuing on that still have people offering seat on the bus, in the train XXX lo, they are the one who are giving up seat for people who really needed it. Only seat down when necessary, some people pretend to sleep, some hold up the paper high-high, some treat as invisible & also the price of bus ticket has increased since 4-July.

From what I see, as the population continue to "grey" & "silver" and current statistics of less children popping out, it just can't be help. When they are young, they think they can give up the seats & finally when they are old, they still have to give up their sitting comfort.

As I looked out, I saw a double rainbow, similar the one at Kuching the other day, minus the orange sky though. July = Rainbow month? I wondered: Where is the silver lining in the cloud? And is there really a pot of GOLD waiting at the end of the rainbow?
